Help
- WebTV
is a easy way to access the Internet from your TV.
- You
don't need a computer and there's no software to load.
- All
you need is a television, a phone line, and a WebTV Internet
terminal.
- Internet
Explorer or Netscape Browsers read "marked up" or
coded pages (usually HTML but not always) that reside on servers
and interpret the coding into what we see as a Web page.
- If you
cannot view the Web Page it is the way your WebTv browser
is interpreting the Web page's code.
- CGI
or Postcard scripts - Not all CGI or Postcards scripts are written
to be compatible with WebTv.
- If you
cannot view the Web Page or use the Postcard script with your
WebTv Internet Terminal you might want to contact your WebTv
manufacturer and request an upgrade.
Prior to
the creation of the Transloader service WebTV users had no way
of copying graphics or music files for their use without linking
to the source. For web sites offering graphics and music
WebTv users have created an added burden by causing a slowdown
of their site and an increased cost for their bandwidth charges.
So please do not link to graphics or music on sites.
